TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this Saturday, you are needed to raise awareness!
Saturday is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
This year marks number 20 for the Terre Haute race.
It raises money and awareness for the breast cancer movement here in the Wabash Valley.
Race for the Cure also celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who’ve lost their battle with the disease.
The race site will open at 7:00 Saturday morning.
The event runs from 8:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m.
New this year is a kid’s dash for ages 4-10.
Leading up to race day, teams and individuals are welcome to register and pick up their race materials during office hours.
Their office is located at the Meadows Shopping Center.
