All lanes back open after three semi accident Wednesday morning on Interstate 70

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A three semi accident shut down eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 for hours on Wednesday morning.

The accident happened after 7 a.m. near the 38 mile-marker in Putnam County, which is just east of State Road 243 near Cloverdale. capture

Indiana State Police reported that as of 9:50  a.m. all eastbound lanes were back open. While lanes were closed, they had to send eastbound traffic onto State Road 243.

Traffic was backed up into Clay County for a while.

At this time, no injuries have been reported from this accident.
