TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A verdict is reached in the Devlin Decker murder trial out of Terre Haute.
He was found guilty of murder and aggravated battery.
Decker was charged with the murder of Joshua Thomas.
Terre Haute police say Thomas died New Year’s Eve 2013.
Decker’s defense counsel claimed Decker is guilty of some form of battery on Thomas, but not murder.
The defense pointed to Phillip Evans as the one who stabbed Thomas to death.
Witnesses say they saw both Evans and Decker beat Thomas until he collapsed, then they continued.
Sentencing is set for November 17th.
