Retired FBI agent talks shop with ISU students

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Indiana State University receives a visit from a distinguished alumni.

Robert Casey is a retired special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

On Tuesday, he spoke to ISU students about some of the highlights of his career.

This includes investigative operations against two convicted terrorists.

He also played a role in convicting corrupt public officials and fraud artists.

Casey told News 10 it’s important to teach students they have career options.

“Many job roles out there require challenging decision making. Doing the right thing. Knowing what the right thing to do is. Mistakes will be made in life. Hopefully, they’re not so egregious one can’t recover from them,” Casey said.

He told us he enjoys talking to students about the different careers in law enforcement.
