State Road 42 in Clay County to close Oct. 17 for demolition on abandoned bridge

CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – State Road 42 will be closing on Oct. 17 for demolition work on an abandoned bridge.

The Indiana Department of Transportation reports crews will be demolishing a bridge over SR 42 about four and a half miles west of State Road 59.

State Road 42 is expected to be closed through Oct. 31.

The detour will be State Road 46 to Interstate 70 to State Road 59 and back.
