Teen killed, two others injured after accident Thursday morning in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A 17-year-old was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Montgomery County.

The Montgomery Sheriff’s Office reports the accident happened around 7:15 a.m. Thursday at U.S. 136 just east of Nucor Road.

Officials report a 17-year-old from Crawfordsville was driving a 1994 Toyota and a 39-year-old from Crawfordsville was driving a 2010 Chevrolet. Also in the Chevrolet was a 37-year-old from Terre Haute.

Officials report the 17-year-old was pronounced dead at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville after being transported to that location by the Crawfordsville Fire Department.

The other two involved in the accident were transported to St. Vincent Hospital for treatment.

Officials report U.S 136 had to be shut down for about four hours. This crash is still being investigated and toxicology results are pending.
