TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Autism continues to affect many of our children and families, especially here in Indiana.
That’s why the community came together in partnership with the Autism Society of Indiana. Saturday was the Autism Acceptance Walk at Indiana State University.
The one-mile walk not only raises awareness, but brings families together to connect with one another and find resources.
“It’s been so heart warming,” said Natalee Mace, Autism Ally for the Autism Society of Indiana, “I’m just overwhelmed by all of the positive comments and all of the families that have come out and all of the resources they’ve been able to get. It’s a one stop shop.”
This is the first ASI Acceptance Walk in Western Indiana.
