TERRE HAUTE,Ind. (WTHI) – Twenty local agencies visited Ivy Tech in Terre Haute on Tuesday.
The visit came as part of the Community Research Fair.
Ivy Tech’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society hosted the event.
It gives Wabash Valley students and the public a chance to learn about local services available to them if they need help.
These include programs for children and women as well as healthcare and mental health services.
“We think that our students often need assistance and don’t know where to go for it. We’ve had homeless students on campus so we want to provide information. We also have a brochure that one of our students actually created, which lists all of the emergency organizations,” Leslie Stultz from Ivy Tech said.
The Happiness Bag and Salvation Army are just two of the organizations that attended the fair.
