TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Trick-or-Treat takes an interesting twist at North Side Church in Terre Haute.
The church decided to hold a Trunk-or-Treat. It’s where trunks of vehicles are decorated and children can go to the trunks to get candy.
A youth director of the church helped put the event together. She says it’s a good alternative to the holiday tradition.
“Well, I think Trunk-or-Treat is a safe alternative for kids that can go around to a safe environment, rather than going around door to door where they don’t really know what they may be getting in to,” said Connie Knierim, Youth Director.
The church has been holding the event for the last 10 years. Members of the church even sport costumes while giving out treats.
