No injuries reported after house fire on 3rd Avenue in Terre Haute


TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Crews are on the scene of a structure fire on 3rd Avenue in Terre Haute.

The call was made for a house located at 2137 3rd Avenue around 7:45 a.m.

Heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from the back of the home when fire crews got on scene but everyone made it out of the home safely. Fire crews report the fire is located in the back and they were calling for assistance from Duke Energy due to live power lines on the ground.

Officials told our crew at the scene that no injuries were reported but they did have to give a dog breathing treatments. But, they say the dog is doing fine.

At this time, officials do not believe this fire is suspicious.
