VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A Terre Haute woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after a ‘scuffle’ with an Indiana State Police Trooper.

Officials report this started with a call around 1 a.m. about a reckless driver who was also speeding down Parke Avenue near Lafayette Avenue.

The caller stated the vehicle was a silver Ford Crown Victoria driven by a female.

That female suspect was then reported to be in the 5400 block of N. 14 1/2 Street breaking out windows of a family member. Officials also believe she was at a location previously doing the same thing.

ISP located her near her vehicle where she then began yelling obscenities at the Trooper and then ‘initiated a scuffle.’

“During the altercation with the suspect, Trooper Fyfe sustained a minor head wound and was also bitten by a dog from a nearby residence,” Indiana State Police reported.

The suspect has been identified as Rhonda Booe, 49 of Terre Haute. She was taken to the Vigo County Jail for resisting law enforcement, battery with bodily injury, battery on a public safety official and disorderly conduct.

Both the Trooper and Booe were treated for minor injuries at Terre Haute Union Hospital.
