Village Quarter Apartments releases statement after death of resident

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – The Village Quarter Apartments has released a statement after the death of resident and local radio personality, Matt Luecking.

Officials went to Luecking’s apartment on Monday after a well being request. There they found him dead.

Three people have been arrested in connection to this homicide investigation.

The property manager of The Village Quarter Apartments issued the statement informing residents to not be concerned for their safety.

Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of Matt Luecking, a resident of The Village Quarter Apartments for over 15 years.

We would like our residents to know that they should not be concerned for their safety in any way. This was an isolated event. Those that were involved in this crime are not residents of The Village Quarter and are not to our knowledge affiliated with anyone at The Village Quarter other than the victim.

We believe that The Village Quarter is one of the safest apartment communities in Terre Haute and/or Vigo County. The majority of our employees, including management, and their families live in The Village Quarter Community.

Our condolences and prayers go out to Matt’s family and the community during this difficult time. The Village Quarter is aiding law enforcement in finding justice for Matt and his family.
