Fraternity set to host haunted house, proceeds go to Yiorgo Karnezis’s family


TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A Wabash Valley fraternity is hosting a haunted house after the tragic death of an ISU student.

On Sunday Clark County deputies responded to a report of a person who had fallen from a small boat into a pond . The office says 18-year-old Yiorgo Karnezis was recovered from the pond.

He was attending a social event for Sigma Chi Fraternity near Marshall, Illinois.

On Friday, the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity will host a haunted house.

All proceeds will go to Karnezis’s family.

It happens at 801 South 4th Street in Terre Haute from 8:00 p.m. through 10:30 p.m.
