TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – An area dentist is asking for your Halloween candy and in exchange you can show your support for troops overseas.
It’s called Operation Troop Treats – from now until Nov. 5 the Kool Smiles Dental Office in Terre Haute is encouraging children to bring in their Halloween candy.
If you bring in 25 pieces you’ll get a toy!
The candy then will be sent in care packages to U.S. service members.
“Sending a sweet treat to our troops overseas, giving them a little taste of home sweet home and promoting oral hygiene as well as the toothbrushes and floss we will send them as well,” said Dr. Kayla Dawson from Kool Smiles. “Just a little support for our brave troops overseas.”
Last year the Terre Haute Kool Smiles collected almost 100 pounds of candy!
