Almost $2,000 raised by Sigma Phi Epsilon haunted house for Karnezis family

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – An Indiana State University fraternity held a haunted house to raise money in memory of a fellow student.

The Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity held a haunted house on Friday to support the family of Yiorgo Karnezis.

All of the proceeds went directly to the family and thanks to the support of the community the fraternity was able to raise almost $2,000.

Karnezis died tragically earlier this month at the fraternity event for Sigma Chi.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office reports that he had fallen from a small boat into a pond. Karnezis died as a result of accidental drowning.
