VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – The Vigo County School Corporation Board of Trustees are currently having an emergency Executive Session after the two FBI arrests Wednesday morning.

The session started at 2 p.m. at the Vigo County School Corporation Administration building located at 7th and Wabash in Downtown Terre Haute.

News 10’s Hunter Petroviak witnessed VCSB member Mel Burks going in the building, but no one else. Burks did tell media that he would give a statement after the meeting.

The fax sent to media outlets from the school board states this meeting is for the purpose of:

“With respect to any individual over whom the Board has jurisdiction, to receive information concerning the individual’s alleged misconduct and to discuss, before a determination, the individual’s status as an employee or an independent contractor who is a physician.”

As we reported Wednesday morning, Frank Shahadey (who is a Vigo County Sheriff Deputy and listed on the VCSC website under school security) and Frank Fennell (VCSC Director of Transportation) were arrested by the FBI. They are scheduled to appear in federal court at 3 p.m. in Indianapolis.
