BRAZIL, Ind. (WTHI) – A Clay County Elementary School went on lockdown Thursday afternoon.
News 10 received tips into our newsroom about police presence at Eastside Elementary School in Brazil. We went digging for answers.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, it started with a phone call from a disgruntled parent.
Police say the parent called the school and said they were coming in to pick up a child.
It’s unclear what the circumstances around the incident were.
The sheriff’s office told us the children that ride school buses were already gone when the lockdown started.
School officials were escorting the remaining children out of the school one by one.
No incidents have been reported at this time.
