MARSHALL, Ill. (WTHI) – An Illinois community comes together to support one of their own.
15-year-old Taylor Mason of Marshall learned she had Leukemia back in August of this year.
On Saturday, a benefit was held to raise money for her. The event included a silent auction, dinner and a dueling piano show.
A friend of Taylor’s says the community has stepped up in the teen’s time of need.
“The community has just really rallied around Taylor and helped her so much through this trying time in her short little life,” said Kelly Livvix, “So we’re very blessed to be in the Marshall community, and Taylor is beyond blessed to be a part of the community as well.”
