TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – It takes a special person to make a career in education.
That’s why they are celebrated at Sycamore Educators Day at Indiana State University.
It’s not just catered to teachers either, anyone in the education field, such as administrators and even education majors, are allowed to attend.
The event is all about networking and learning about new ideas and methods to keep students engaged.
“People who are new in the profession, and people like me who have been teaching for two decades participate in this event,” said Melanie Beaver, educator, “It’s a very special time to be renewed about what’s great and new in education and to be reminded about what is special about teaching.”
This is the 20th anniversary for the event presented by the Bayh College of Education. Participants meet once a year on the first Saturday of November.
