Alabama shuts down Etling and LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. (WTHI) — No. 1-ranked Alabama showed why the Crimson Tide are the best team in the country last night. No. 13 Lousiana State hosted the top-ranked team and was shutout on the home turf, 10-0.

The Crimson Tide defense held the Tigers to just 125 yards of total offense, including just 25 yards in the second half.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron said that he never considered going to backup quarterback Brandon Harris. Former Terre Haute North QB Danny Etling remains the start for the Bayou Bengals, who now have two losses on the season.

Alabama stays the top team in the country.
