TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A cool Fall day set the perfect stage for a chili cook-off!
Saturday’s cook-off was held at the Circle K near 12 Points in Terre Haute.
The fundraiser was to benefit March of Dimes, which in turn will help babies at Riley Hospital for Children.
Daniela Stephens works for the Circle K, she says her store alone has raised $3,000 this year.
Stephens is proud to contribute to such a worthy cause.
“As a company and a whole, we usually raise between a million and two million dollars,” she said, “In a three week period, 22 days actually, throughout all the Circle K’s in the United States, and it all goes to charity. It’s all for the babies, so we just do what we’ve got to do to get it done.”
Stephens says even though the cook-off has ended, the gas station is still taking donations for the fundraiser until Monday night. You can stop in and donate cash or by debit or credit.
