TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) — Rose-Hulman football made school history today with a 74-6 rout of rival Earlham. The win earns the Fighting Engineers’ the first NCAA D-III playoff berth in program history.
The Engineers weren’t about to miss such a big opportunity, seizing the lead in this game right from the start. A pair of touchdown runs from Stanley Hogan III gave Rose-Hulman a 15-0 lead.
The win was a statement as the Engineers close the regular season. Rose-Hulman also claimed the HCAC championship with the victory.
The Fighting Engineers will gather for a playoff selection watch party tomorrow night. The tournament pairings will be announced starting at 6 p.m.
