TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Two men are arrested after a burglary, and train boxcar fire in Terre Haute.
It happened Saturday night around 9 p.m.
Terre Haute Police tell News 10 the first call was for a burglary in progress at Columbia Home Products on Beech Street.
Officers found two men on scene when they arrived.
Police say the men were inside Columbia Home Products, and were detained after noticing a fire north of the business.
That fire was a train boxcar on fire near the intersection of 19th and Maple Avenue.
The Terre Haute Fire Department responded to get the boxcar fire under control.
Police say the two men were 23-year-old Kaleb Henry, and 21-year-old Jack Cooper III, both of Terre Haute.
After THPD investigation, police discovered Henry set fire to the train boxcar before the men broke into Columbia Home Products.
Both Henry and Cooper III are charged with Burglary, and Trespassing on the Railroad Right of Way.
Henry was also charged with arson.
Police say both men were taken to the Vigo County Jail.
They will be in Division 3 Court on Monday.
