United Way of the Wabash Valley opens shop at new downtown location

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Things are looking a little more united in Downtown Terre Haute. That’s because United Way of the Wabash Valley’s new location is at Ohio and 7th Streets.

The organization held an open house on Wednesday to show off the new digs.

Richard Payonk, the executive director of the organization, says he’s excited about all the potential the new location has.

“We are expecting growth and to expand. We are envisioning ourselves down the road, not just in the present time. So our board is taking that into consideration in creating a space that will be for the United Way of the Wabash Valley in the Future.”

Payonk also said the space will serve multiple purposes.

He says it’s more visible, has more space for meetings and training, and allows the organization to better serve the community.
