TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Friday was the day to help raise awareness for hunger problems in the Wabash Valley.
It’s called ‘Orange Friday.’
Catholic Charities set-up shop at Baesler’s Market on Friday to educate the public that several in our community are in need of food.
Volunteers sold buttons and t-shirts.
The initiative is two-fold.
One, they are raising money to feed local families and two, wearing the buttons and t-shirts helps to get the message out.
Those donations are needed year around.
