The inaugural NCAA Pizza Hut All-American tour made its very first stop Friday in Terre Haute. They were in the area to kick off the NCAA Sponsorship and All-American program on the eve of Saturday’s NCAA Cross Country championships at LaVern Gibson.
Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett made a proclamation declaring Saturday, November 19th Terre Hut day, recognizing the NCAA Pizza Hut All-American tour. The group will be handing out over 400 pizzas to teams, runners and fans Saturday at the NCAA Cross Country championships in Terre Haute.
Among the people on hand for the NCAA Pizza Hut All-American tour in Terre Haute was former Duke great and retired NBA player Shane Battier. The former Duke great and retired NBA player is the ambassador of the Pizza Hut All-American tour.
