Car sinks in huge water-filled hole on Florida road

BEVERLY HILLS, Fla. (WFLA) – People inside a car that sank in a large water-filled hole on the road managed to make it out of the car safely before it went underwater.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. on Monday in Beverly Hills, Florida.

A water-filled hole formed in the road in front of a home at 11 Truman Blvd.

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office said the hole was caused by water from a broken water main.

Photos show a white car sinking in the water.

Authorities say the people in the car got out safely.
