LYFORD, Ind. (WTHI) – The driver from the fatal accident in Lyford on Saturday night has been identified.

Parke County Sheriff’s Office reports the single vehicle accident happened around 9:45 p.m. on U.S. 41 at the ‘S’ curves in Lyford.

When crews arrived at the scene they found the driver trapped in the white Jeep Grand Cherokee. Crews were able to revive the driver and she was taken to Union Hospital in Clinton. She was then airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Officials report the driver later died from her injuries. She has been identified as Morgan Holt, 22 of Terre Haute.
