LINTON, Ind. (WTHI) — It’s a big week in Linton as the Miner football team prepares for its return to Lucas Oil Stadium.
For the second year in a row, Linton heads to Indianapolis for the IHSAA class A state finals. The undefeated Miners will face a big challenge against Pioneer in the championship game. Kick off is scheduled for noon Saturday.
Coach Brian Oliver called this game “unfinished business” after his team lost in the state finals one year ago to Lafayette Central Catholic.
The Miners are now just one game away from achieving the goal they’ve been working towards since last season.
