Accident on Interstate 70 near Plainfield backed up traffic for miles Wednesday morning


PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WTHI) – An accident on Interstate 70 near Plainfield caused major traffic issues Wednesday morning.

Indiana Department of Transportation reported the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near State Road 267. By 8:30 a.m. both lanes of traffic were open.

Our sister station, WISH-TV in Indianapolis, is reported traffic was backed up for about six miles due to the crash.
