SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – If you’re in the market for a new furry friend, hopefully you stopped by Sullivan County.

Many cute and adorable little faces hoped to find a forever home Saturday. Sullivan County Humane Society held an adoption event at the Tractor Supply.

For $60, you could welcome in a new member of the family. The low-cost fee covers the animal’s spay/neuter surgery. All animals in the event were up to date on vaccinations, including rabies.

Organizers say it means the world to give their animals another chance at life.

“Animals have always been a big passion of mine and the entire staff,” said Tina Baker, Shelter Manager, “So it’s something that we hold close to our hearts and finding all these strays, lost and abandoned animals a home for the holidays is a big goal of ours.”

The shelter says this is their last adoption event for the season. Be on the lookout during the holidays though, they hope to hold a community event around Christmas time.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, you can contact the shelter (812) 268-4201.
