WESTFIELD, Ill. (WTHI) – Helping the community though Christmas cheer, that’s the goal of the Westfield Christmas Carnival.
Soup supper, vendors and a silent auction were on hand for all to enjoy.
This is one of the major fundraisers for the Westfield Improvement League, or WIL.
Money raised goes to the community and helps out with various projects and maintenance.
“We’ve done just different things,” said Marie Finney, WIL Secretary, “and pretty much it’s at the will of the community, what they would like to see done or what they would like money to put back in to. We try to raise and do according to what the community needs.”
Organizers say the Christmas Carnival has continued for at least five years, and it’s always highly-anticipated within the community.
