TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A suspect involved in the purse snatching investigation was sentenced this week.

Exie Myles was arrested in May, accused of stealing purses from elderly people in Terre Haute parking lots.

Myles is sentenced to 16-years and 12 of those years will be spent in prison.

Four will be suspended to formal probation.

Police say Myles, along with Edward Rosa, stole the purses and used victims credit and debit cards at ATM’s.

Myles is charged with robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. Edward Rosa is expected back in court on Dec. 7.
