VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Vigo County deputies are investigating what they call a bizarre incident that led to a crash. Sheriff Greg Ewing said it started when two people broke into a car and stole credit cards.

Ewing said those suspects then went on a shopping spree at the south Wal-Mart and took off. The driver led deputies on a chase.

During that chase, Ewing said the driver smashed into another car and kept going. Shortly after, the suspects crashed again near the Starbucks on U.S. 41.

Deputies said they’re going over stolen property in that vehicle. They have not released anymore about the suspects at this point, other than that they are male and female. Those suspects are in custody.
