TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – If you’ve ever wondered about Terre Haute’s history, you will soon have the chance to learn.
On Friday there will be a showing of The Story of Terre Haute at the Indiana Theatre.
Mark Gibson is the creator of the documentary.
The film started out as a project for a class while working on his master’s degree.
He says cramming 200 years of history into an hour and a half time frame was challenging.
He hopes this work gives people a new perspective on the city.
“I hope that this film kind of shows people a little bit about their city that they are just kind of blind to. They go about their daily duties…their work…their life…don’t even see it. Hopefully, this will kind of show them,” Gibson said.
The doors open at 6:30 at the Indiana Theatre.
General admission tickets are $10.
They can be purchased online or in person.
