The Indiana State basketball career for TJ Bell is over. Head coach Greg Lansing announced Thursday that the senior has stepped away from the program for personal reasons. Sports 10 learned a situation took place internally with Bell that cost him his future with ISU.
This season had been the best of his college career. He recorded his first double-double in a loss to nationally-ranked Iowa State. On November 30th he scored a career-high 17 points in a win over Northern Illinois. This season Bell had earned five starts, he was averaging 6.1 points and 3.5 rebounds.
For his career, Bell played in 59 games and earned 10 starts. He averaged 2.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per game and hit 52.6 percent of his shots from the field. He added 30 career blocked shots and 11 steals.
