Residents take advantage of extended post office hours

TERRE HAUTE, IN (WTHI) – The holidays aren’t far away, and local post offices are feeling the pinch!

Sunday was the last day for extended hours at select post offices.

News 10 stopped by the Margaret Drive location. For the previous three Sundays, Margaret and Rose Avenue locations have extended their Sunday hours.

While the extra few hours gives folks the chance to finish holiday mailing, the post office says their momentum is not slowing down.

“We never stop,” said Chad Way, Post Office Operations Manager for Group 5, “You may not see your normal deliveries on Sunday, but we never stop. There’s someone behind the scenes that’s constantly working and doing what we need.”
