Shahadey to appear in federal court Tuesday in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHI) -A hearing has been set for the former Vigo County sheriff deputy who’s accused of several counts including wire fraud.

Shahadey will have his initial appearance on his indictment set for Tuesday at 2 pm at the Indianapolis court house.

You might recall Shahadey already appearing in court that was over a complaint. He will be brought from his holding facility and then taken back and not be released.

The feds accuse Frank Shahadey and Franklin Fenell of defrauding the Vigo County School Corporation.

Over a 30 month period federal agents believe Fennell hired a tree trimming business for 58 jobs paying the business $440,000 of that, US Attorneys claim Fennell and Shahadey pocketed more than $80,000.
